It is my pleasure to bring you greetings from the Beta Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. in Jacksonville, FL. It is my honor to serve you as the 18th President and proud to lead this dynamic group of women into our 75th year Anniversary. I have been a member of this illustrious organization for 24 years.
I am very excited and looking forward to this journey and awesome experience. For the next two years I will be focusing on the Centennial Celebration, Increasing Membership, Reclaiming sisters to the Sorority and Branding BAZ throughout the Jacksonville community.
I am a native of Jacksonville and a graduate of Florida A&M University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and received my MBA from the University of Phoenix. I currently work as a Community Advocate for Wellcare Health Plans. I bring extensive experience in Marketing and Recruitment. I have two adult children Kelley Barnes and Kelvin Barnes II. Abyssinia Missionary Baptist is my church home.
Let us never forget our principles of Service, Scholarship, Sisterly Love and Finer Womanhood the core values that allow us to be the best community servants. It is extremely important to take this time and opportunity to work diligently in the community. BAZ will continue to mentor young girls and help to groom them into becoming Finer Women.
Many Thanks and appreciation to my BAZ chapter sisters for believing in me that I can be instrumental with the growth and development of this chapter toward the celebration of Centennial in 2020. May we continue to be enlightened, helpful to each other, loving and kind as we move the sisterhood of Zeta forward!!!
